Financial Independence and Accountability
Support from individuals like you is essential to our ability to operate independently, and allows Doctors Without Wall-Santa Barbara Street Medicine to operate our programs in support of the most urgent need in our community, often for individuals and groups that are otherwise forgotten. DWW-SBSM strives to operate efficiently and to minimize fundraising and administrative costs. For the first half of 2011, DWW-SBSM allocated more than 93% percent of its expenditures to our medical programs. Additionally, we spent only .004% of our total expenditure on business expenses. Maintaining this standard of low overhead and high-quality care is a high priority for us.
Doctors Without Walls-Santa Barbara Street Medicine is recognized as tax exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
