Interested in a real-world experience of service to those in need?

Doctors Without Walls-Santa Barbara Street Medicine has always worked in multi-disciplinary teams that include doctors, physicians assistants, nurses, social workers, EMTs, pre-medical student scribes and other positions. Being a volunteer-based organization, there is always something to become involved with.

Much of what we do involves building trusting relationships with our patients through consistency and listening. As a result, we look for long term commitments from our volunteers. Each quarter we hold a volunteer outreach and scribing training session in order to constantly learn from our work and incorporate new trained volunteers into our work.
